Bath & Body Works brawl for the ages, Black woman calls white woman “trailer park trash”
Racism Score: 3.4
There is nothing like a Bath & Body Works candle. People will wait hours in line during holiday sales to capture their great candle deals. If you have an opportunity to level up from Yankee Candle, we highly recommend Bath & Body Works! Our top choices are Rose + Vanilla, Vanilla Birch, Rose Water & Ivey, and seasonal favorite, Flannel.
A group of shoppers took their candle infatuation to new heights as they fought over the remaining legendary scents. Factually speaking, grappling over candles was not the reason at all for the fight but it sure sounded good.
The actual reason, somebody cut in line!
By now you have seen the embarrassing brawl between Bath & Body Works customers in Scottsdale, Arizona. Plenty of news outlets have detailed the fiasco so we will focus on the racial element of the grudge match.
After round 1 of the fight and during a break in the action; a white woman inaudibly says something about the President, then the Black woman calls the white woman “trailer park trash,” and reiterates “you’re trailer park trash.”
Fast forward to 1:25 to hear “trailer park trash.”
Scottsdale PD investigated the incident and determined race was not a factor in the initial escalation. As TMZ reported though, it went downhill after the Black woman called the white woman “trailer park trash.”
Since the Black woman called the white woman “trailer park trash”, some people are pointing out the hypocrisy.
What if the white woman called the Black woman “ghetto?” There are racist undertones when calling Black people “ghetto.” Therefore, the Black woman calling the white woman ‘trailer park trash’ is not appropriate either, which is a bigoted (albeit an emotional heat of the moment but still wrong) response.
All we could decipher from the white woman is “…God damn President of the United States…” Assumptions can only be made about the white woman’s intent.
Do the white woman’s actions classify as Redneck behavior that Jeff Foxworthy has comedically described in the past? Honest question. Well, rhetorical question.
We do not know if we are allowed to say Redneck behavior since, we are not Caucasian, but it is worth a racial draft debate discussion.
