Bernie Eccelstone believes black people are ‘more racist than White people’

Racism Score: 2.9

Formula One icon and 89-year-old billionaire Bernie Ecclestone believes Black people are often more racist than white people. Quick background about Ecclestone before we continue.

CNN reports that in 2009 Ecclestone commended Hitler for “being able to get things done.” Rightfully, he apologized later for the hurtful comments.

We would like to interrupt this story to remind people. NEVER PRAISE HITLER IN ANY CAPACITY. IT IS HURTFUL & WRONG. Now back to your regular scheduled programing.

Eccleston also endorsed Vladimir Putin’s controversial anti-gay policy that degrades homosexuals. Next, to add a little sexism to the pot, Eccleston voluntarily shared “women should be dressed in white, like all the other domestic appliances.” I wonder what else you would hear if you spent a weekend at Bernie’s!

We want you to have a feel for his “stuck in his ways” mindset which is still no excuse for his comments. Lewis Hamilton is the first and only Black driver to compete in Formula One. After the death of George Floyd, Hamilton has raised awareness for racial inequality by starting The Hamilton Commission to promote diversity in motorsports.

Ecclestone praised Hamilton for his speeches and thinks Hamilton is the right person to lead the charge. However, Eccelstone does not think actions like The Hamilton Commission will have an impact on the sport. “I don’t think it’s going to do anything bad or good for Formula One.”

In conjunction with Hamilton’s efforts and the racial unrest taking place – Eccleston offered his opinion regarding his belief about Black people being more racist than white people.

Fairly ignorant statement as he could only base his opinion on his beliefs.

What a time to be alive.
