A man running for mayor in Pelzer is facing backlash after using a racial slur during an exchange on Facebook.
Harold Tennihill is one of of three candidates vying to fill the seat left vacant when former Mayor Roger Scott resigned at the end of 2019.
On Tuesday morning, Tennihill’s account, which is public, posted a link to a live performance by the band Linkin Park with the words, “All lives matter.”
