Terry Scott calls Gregory Tony “Uncle Tom”

Black on Black racism is just as inexcusable as all forms of racism. Some Black people revert to calling other Black people Uncle Tom’s, coons, or house nigga’s when they feel certain Black people are not acting “Black enough.”

NBC Miami reports that Terry Scott (pictured above) is guilty of Black on Black racism. Scott is a popular Black activist in Broward County, FL who is helping Scott Israel campaign to reclaim his position as sheriff.

Scott posted a video on his Facebook page blasting current Sheriff Gregory Tony who is also Black. Gov. Ron DeSantis appointed Tony after the Parkland shooting.

Upset by Tony’s lack of “Blackness”, Scott shared the following:

“Tony came in as arrogant, like we owe him something, like he was the house nigga and we’re the field niggas. That’s the way he came.”

The Israel campaign condemned Scott’s remarks and Scott resigned from the campaign. Scott stood by his rhetoric while indicating since he is Black, there is nothing racist about what he said.

In the interview with NBC 6, Tony shared, “Being Black doesn’t excuse you to support racism. Whether it be Black on Black or Black on white or any type of prejudice of discrimination. It’s always unacceptable.” We agree.
